Campervan Trip - Day 3

Up and about too damn early

We woke up early in the freezing cold morning to walk across to Blue lake. I half wore my PJ’s as it was soo cold. However the sunset was absolutely stunning and it was worth the wake up. After some photos we snuck back into the campervan and had a little nap til 8.

We then has to head off for our cave tour. We had booked a tour at the Engelbrecht Cave for 10 am. We arrived and were taken on a tour by Jason who was amazing.he explained to us all about the caves. Showed us the fossils in them and explained how the lake diving works. Interesting this cave was used as a tip until the Lions club came and emptied the whole entrance. Luckily it was only filled with organic products so most of it had broken down over time. The history of the cave was facinating and the lake water was so clear. Well worth the tour.

11m deep. also that last step in is over 8 ft deep.

We then headed back to the blue lake to see its colour at midday! It was vivid blue.

We then headed into the city to get some lunch, do some shopping and see the Cave Gardens. These are really pretty gardens too.

After lunch we head to Valley Lake Conservation Centre which was just a nice slow stroll in the bush looking for some animals.

We spent the rest of the arvo kicking back in our camp chairs relaxing!
